Begonia sp. Miri is a rare and striking tropical Begonia species native to the rainforests of Papua New Guinea and Sarawak, Malaysia, known for its deeply serrated, olive or red iridescent leaves with metallic sheen.
Light:Prefers bright, filtered, or dappled shade, avoiding direct sunlight which can scorch leaves.
Humidity: Requires very high humidity levels, ideally between 75% to 80%.
Temperature:Thrives in warm conditions
Soil:Grows best in a well-draining, airy mix that retains moisture but avoids waterlogging, such as peat-free soilless media or mixes featuring sphagnum moss, coir, perlite, or LECA.
Watering:Keep the substrate consistently moist but never soggy. Good drainage is critical to prevent root rot.
